A venit vara

I love weekends. I actually think that there are very few things on this Earth that can beat a great weekend morning (says me, the lazy sleeper - well, to be honest, I don't get up too late, it's just that I hate having to wake up at a certain hour).
But summer weekends have got to be the next best thing. And we've just had our first this year. So, what better way to spend it than outdoors?
Firstly, the opening of a new cinema, but not any kind of cinema - the public garden type. And a very interesting show to launch it - all cool and chill, with... (i wouldn't know how to label them other than exotic) Sukar Collective, all in the name of the European diversity, probably. Afterwards, the actual event that got us (and by us I mean PRIME) there. The awards for Europa la liceu. Our kids got on second place, which is pretty damn good, considering the other 700 teams from the contest;) Once the kids got the awards for their short films, we got to see a Spanish movie about emigration - Un franco 14 pesetas. If you like European movies, I recommend it.
And then... a very very long walk home. Thank God I had training from the gym:p

Amintiri din copilarie

I never thought that there are people who haven't seen (or at least heard about) The Sound of Music. Apparently, there are. The thing is I am so used to this movie from my childhood, that I just imagine that everyone else is.



I think I was about 5 or 6 when I first saw it. I admit that it can hardly be regarded as a masterpiece if applying high-standards, but it's always refreshing to watch, as it will always remind me of childhood. So, if anyone else feels nostalgic, here are Do-Re-Mi, So Long, Farewell (one of my personal favourites:D) and Edelweiss.
